Nordic style baking has become increasingy popular over the last few years- maybe because of the healthy grains and flours that are used in the mixtures, or maybe just because they taste absolutely delicious! Either way, you can learn some classic Scandi recipes to impress at home!
Over 3 hours we will be making a Nordic spelt and wholemeal focaccia bread, studded with toasted nuts and dried fruits- perfect to enjoy warm form the oven, or toasted the next day with lots of unsalted butter! We will also be making mixed grain and seed twisted rolls and finally finishing with crispy, flaky seed crackerbreads. Using a range of techniques that you can recreate at home- including scaling, forming and kneading doughs by hand, you will be a convert to the Scandi style of breadmaking!
Our classes are very informal but well structured, taught in small groups for maximum experience. There will be lots of hands on baking, overseen and demonstrated by the teacher. At the end of the class you will take home everything made entirely by yourself, in addition to recipes from the day.
Private and bespoke classes are all available too by request.
