How do I book a class?

All our upcoming baking classes are are listed on the calendar on the Classes page and can be booked directly through the website. If you are looking for a private lesson, or a specific date to have a class that isn't shown on the calendar, then do get in touch personally via our Contact page to see if we can help.

Where do the classes take place?

Unless we have arranged to come to your own venue, all classes take place in Kate's own kitchen which is located in Crystal Palace, South East London. The nearest train stations are Gipsy Hill or Crystal Palace, each are within a ten minute walk, please be mindful that you will need to walk up a hill to reach us. Buses do regularly run up and down the hill. There is limited on-street parking availble on adjacent residential streets.

Please note that from 1st September 2016 we will be moving our class premises to 97 North Street, Clapham Old Town, SW4 OHF, please be aware of this when making your booking. If you have any questions regarding this please email us at hello@eatandmess.co.uk

What can I expect from a class?

Classes tend to last 2-3 hours depending on what class you book and they are suitable for 12 years plus (unless otherwise indicated - please see individual class descriptions) and to ensure that students receive personal tuition each workshop caters for a maximum of 6 people, unless a larger group booking has been arranged.

We will supply all baking equipment, ingredients, aprons and refreshments. We are happy for you to bring along your own food and drink if you like, alternatively there are plenty of eateries and a large supermarket within two minutes walk. Cake boxes and bags will be provided for you to safely transport your baked goods home. There is use of a toilet and bathroom for changing if required. There is no dress code but be prepared to get slightly messy!

Please see our Class Terms and Conditions for further details.
